Proxmox Backup

Terms for the sole person capable of accepting them

These terms apply to the private Proxmox Backup connector.

Effective: October 16, 2026

Private use

The application is a private system operated for its owner. It is not a public backup service, commercial product, or invitation to create an account.

Function

The application creates and transfers encrypted Proxmox backups to Google Drive. It can list, verify, retain, download, and remove backup objects that belong to this application.

Owner responsibilities

The owner must preserve the encryption keys and recovery information outside the protected site. The owner must also test restores and maintain enough Google Drive storage.

A successful upload is evidence of an upload. It is not evidence of a working recovery until a restore succeeds.

Third-party services

The application depends on Google Drive, Google OAuth, Cloudflare, Proxmox VE, and rclone. Those services and projects have their own terms, availability, and operating limits.

No warranty

The application is provided for private use without a warranty. The operator accepts the risks of configuration errors, provider outages, corrupted data, lost credentials, and lost encryption keys.

Changes

These terms can change when the backup design, provider access, or data handling changes. The effective date on this page identifies the current version.
